Popular Comedians and Julie Perkins of Puppetry of the Penis and Jason Grossman of Funny… Sheesh combine forces this month to unveil a shameless multimedia-cautionary-extravaganza in You Happy Now?  Somebody Just Lost An Eye!

You Happy Now?  Somebody Just Lost An Eye! is a frenzied master class of life-altering comedy.  Through sketch, “dance” and video, discover the answers to the mysteries of the universe.

Discover the dangers of warped power trips, bedeviling deceptions and blunt-trauma head games.  Learn the hideous truth about: what carbonated-entity controls the entertainment industry; why the dish ran away with the spoon; and how reverse psychology is the key to hostage negotiations.  The life you save just might be your own!  As an added bonus, you’ll learn how to eliminate your enemies, lose your friends and harness the power of spell check.

So don’t play well with others, go tell your friend she looks fat in that dress and come see You Happy Now?  Somebody Just Lost an Eye!  A Variety Show exclamation point.  Comedy not for the faint of heart.

Starring Karen Christie-Ward, Ryan Stadler, Allen Warnock, Amy Lynne Darling, Julie Perkins and Jason Grossman.  Directed by Chip Phillips.

BACK-STORY

The controversial origin of Julie Perkins’s and Jason Grossman’s alliance is, by now, well known.  While performing an experimental work involving a spatula and a toothpick on the Sonny & Son-Yee show, Julie “accidentally” blinded Jason in one eye.  This unexpected improvisation brought Julie to “uncontrolled” hysterics.  She subsequently “vacationed” in a maximum security sanitarium for over twenty years while Jason gamely continued to “perform” at racetracks and grooming shelters with only one marginally good eye.  Jason garnered thousands of pieces of “fan” mail daily.  Upon Julie’s release, she reunited with Jason on a dare at the now infamous J&J Show at Carnegie Deli on New Year’s Eve.  Rumors and press reports “immediately” spread that Jason’s eye injury was merely a publicity stunt.  Thousands protested their sold-out shows at “Madison” Square Garden completely dwarfing all other news items of the day.  Julie and Jason now return to dispel the rumors, answer the questions and walk the walk.

Funny Sheesh improvises highly biased scene studies; show stopping faux-Broadway musical numbers; surreal dream sequences; morbid drinking songs; the world's fastest scenes and sequels to films that shouldn't be made. Audience members are awarded for making suggestions with impractical prizes (anything from a set of matchbox cars to a retro public restroom sign to a commemorative monkey's paw back scratcher to used copy of City Slickers II).
